Westport Marine is based in the South West of England and was specifically formed to design and build practical, attractive boats that provide family and friends with plenty of fun without costing the earth.

We launched our first boat, the Pilot4 in 2006 and being the first in our Pilot Series, she embodies the design philosophies of simple lines, practical layout, strength and performance. With her purposeful looks she is certainly becoming a classic.

Since then we have not looked back, in 2007 we launched the Pilot6, having a layout principally the same as the successful Pilot4, but with a length of over 17’ her lines are easier whilst still retaining the distinctive character.

At the beginning of the 2009 season we launched the Pilot3, a 15' open dinghy suitable for shelterred waters and capable of over 15knots with modest 10hp outboard. Her lines are based on Norwegian fishing boats designed to cope with shorter sharp seas that are common on Fjords. Her slender lines and flatter fuller section afts allow her to acheive economic planning speeds.

During the 2011 season we put together the pre-production Open Pilot6. The arrangement includes a centre console and stainless steel wrap around side & forward rails, giving style and practicality. The boat proved a hit with the magazine tests and is ideal for Bass Anglers with access all around the boat, as well as being perfect for the sportier family user.

Ready for the 2019 season we re-designed our Sport4 for the Fisherman - simpler, lighter and with more space. She performs briliantly with just a 30hp outboard so not only will you save when buying but also on running costs too!

In 2020 we introduced the all new Sport3, an absolutely brilliant boat for someone looking for a simple, go anywhere, do anything boat on a budget. Over 20 knot perfromance from a 15hp with remote control or keep it simple with a 5hp tiller, the choice is yours.

We're now busy developing two new boats for the 2024/25 season. These are both based on racing hulls and will apeal to those who want to go faster and further. As you would expect both hulls have deep V, seaworthy hulls capable of speeds over 50 knots. Open layouts with aft consoles will favour the fisherman but both wll have forward seating converting to sumbeds so great for family and friends as well as quick dashes out to your favourite fishing mark.
